JULIA CARABETTA

NARRATIVE PAINTER

Julia Carabetta is a Vancouver-based painter working primarily in acrylics. Self-taught, she has been creating and selling original artwork for over a decade, with her earliest practice rooted in landscape realism.

Her current work is devoted to narrative painting, subtly embedding symbolic imagery and figures within intricately constructed scenes. Through tone, composition, and recurring themes, she develops visual narratives on canvas that gradually unfold, allowing meaning to emerge over time.

Her work is driven by a commitment to translating vividly imagined scenes onto canvas as faithfully as possible.
