Join Me at the Lakeland Flowers Annual Tulip Festival!

I'm Julia Carabetta, and I’m incredibly honoured to have been invited by Lakeland Flowers to paint en plein air live at their Annual Tulip Festival on Saturday, May 3rd.

This year, I had the joy of working closely with Lakeland Flowers and the amazing team at Slap Communications to help bring their creative vision to life. I'm thrilled to share that my artwork is featured on this year’s official festival tote bags and sweatshirts, making this collaboration especially meaningful.

I’ll be out in the flower fields creating live on site, and I’d love for you to come say hello, enjoy the blooms, and soak in the colours of the season.

I hope to see you there!

“See Green, Sea Blue" is a playful nod to the song Sea Green, Sea Blue, capturing themes of introspection, love, and the complexity of human emotions. Drawing from colours that evoke both calm and depth, the collection symbolizes how feelings can be multifaceted and fluid. These paintings express a yearning for clarity, understanding, and connection, while acknowledging the confusion and ambiguity often accompanying such desires.

The works explore the tension between the pursuit of peace and the inner conflicts that arise in its search. With hues inspired by the ocean, they symbolize both the beauty and vast unknown of human experience, inviting contemplation of nature’s power and mystery.

This collection invites reflection on the internal world, relationships, and the ongoing search for meaning amidst life’s complexities—blending personal insight with emotional vulnerability and the profound presence of nature.
